I was brought on to Mashable to lead the redesign of the site. Done in conjunction with Code & Theory, the main goal was to surface three categories of content: New, Rising and Hot, thus the three-column approach. Two years later, we created an area at the top of the homepage to feature key stories, a new longform article template, and a geo-selector. The iOS App was developed as a companion to the site. It used native iOS components, enhanced speed and performance and stayed true to the Mashable style guide.
